What Your Gift Does
Monthly support for Helen, Alfred and family enables them to buy essentials such as food, petrol, clothing, and pay biannual school fees for their 5 children. This direct support enables Helen and Alfred to continue their ministry as the directors of the disabled children’s center, work to build the abandoned babies home, and support the community in various ways including outreaches, teaching literacy to adults, and identifying orphans.
Monthly support for the volunteers at the disabled children’s center helps meet their basic needs for food, clothing, etc. All 10 staff are completely unpaid, yet they show up 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, to care for these children.
Monthly support for the disabled children’s center helps purchase supplies such as toilet paper, towels, disposable gloves, soap, office supplies, and supplies for teaching the children.
Monthly support for the orphanage helps supply 21 orphans with food.
The abandoned babies home has support to finish construction currently. Once construction is complete, and babies are placed there, monthly support will be used for basic needs including supplies and food.

Lives Are Being Changed
In 2023, Helen formed “My Advocate,” an official NGO (Nongovernmental Organization) for abandoned babies after three babies were found in Kabwe in a short time period. These babies had to be relocated over an hour from Kabwe because there was nowhere to take them. One little girl, the second of the three found, she’s kept close to her heart. The girl is 3 years old now, and we visited at the orphanage that received her when she was released from the hospital. Her name, Miracle, reflects her story.
